So I didn’t get to update yesterday, or the day before (I think?) Sorry! So much happening, that Tumblr was pushed aside. Blasphemy, I know.

I didn’t do very well, unfortunately. I was in a rush during my lunch break from work that I didn’t get to eat and ended up doing so afterwards. Throughout the day, this is what I DID eat…

Breakfast:
- Oatmeal
- Water
- 1 Banana

Snack:
- Yogurt
- Water

Dinner:
- 2 Eggs Scrambled w/ Onions, Peppers, and Mushrooms

All in all not too bad, but not having lunch definitely was a bad move on my part. I didn’t get to exercise because when I got home, I had to have a meeting for school. I’m hoping to wake up early tomorrow and get a jog in before I start my day. 

A small update, but something to log my progress… if any haha.

Today is September 15th, 2011.

And I have decided to start the rest of my life today. I am currently 5’5 and weigh over 200 lbs. According to current health statistics, my ideal weight should be 134 lbs. 

Over 70 pounds. Shit.

I don’t know when I got so big. But it’s not like one day I woke up like this. I have been struggling with my weight since I was about 12. Day in and day out, food and exercise are a struggle. Living an active lifestyle is hard when you’re a full-time student and work full-time. But this semester, I have cut down on my classes and plan to start a new exercise regimen. 

I don’t know if I’ll ever get down to 134 lbs. That number sounds so scary and unreachable. But the main point, is that if I want to live a longer and healthier life… the time to start is now. I don’t want to be a 45 year old woman who dies of a heart attack or diabetes. Especially because the latter runs in my family on both sides.

I will be journaling daily meals and exercise here, to keep me in check and also to inspire anyone who may stumble upon this blog. In addition, I will be posting inspirational thoughts, pictures, and videos. If anyone happens to read this and is attempting to change their life as well, feel free to follow and submit your story. These types of things come easier with support.

Last, but not least, I’ll be posting pictures of myself to document the hopeful weight loss. Wish me luck and please keep me in your prayers…
